I am reporting this incident because I did not authorize a $29.99 credit to my personal checking account. My account was already in arrears due to some bad choices I have made. However, I am in process of getting those mistakes corrected. This added burden of a credit that I didn't authorize has added to my financial burden. I didn't call anyone. I didn't talk to anyone. I didn't answer any online questionnaires or surveys. I don't know how they got my banking information. The so called check they used was not from my personal checks. They even spelled my name wrong. This will cause an upset to the pre-set arrangements I have already made with other financial institutions. This needs to stop. What do they do? Go online and find people in financial dire straits and just add to their problems? This has not happened to me before and it couldn't have happened at a worse time. Please if there is anything anyone can do to help me please advise. This is ridiculous! If I could close my account with my current bank I would, however, this is impossible since my job requires direct deposit.
