GE Capital insisted that I pay for credit card insurance after fulfilling my 12 month interest free payment obligation even though I never signed the original credit application requesting this service. They are playing hard ball and using the Consumer Fair Credit Act as a shield. This is a contractual issue where they have no basis to charge customers for a service the customer never requested or signed for!
