Over the last 3 years I was getting an average of more than $700 overdraft fees a month from WAMU. Well, being a small business I told my self this is high but I do not have any other way to pay the bills necessary to stay in business.
Wamu offered to us a $1000 overdrafts protection and so during that time I try to generate more income (I'm still trying) so I do not have to go in minus and reduce the amount of overdraft.
What really open my eyes in after one month only switching to Chase the entire overdraft disappeared and so is the $1000 overdraft protection!
I have to admit to my surprise I made it to the end of the month with only two overdrafts with Chase. Because of two levies that were put on hold in my new Chase account without showing in my online statement?
I had a few levy over the last 3 years but with WAMU they never did affect my account they where simply sent back! Maybe because of the constant overdraft?
Well what a trade off! Even with the economy being so hard in Grants Pass, I do not get any overdraft now. But I do get slam by hospital lawyers from Quick Collect that for some reason are able to deal with Chase (or reciprocally) better than Wamu.
I do have all the statements to show this strange situation but I do not think I can sue WAMU because now they are Chase? So I'll be suing Chase? Actually I do not think I want to sue anyone but just to show that there was definitively something wrong with WAMU and their overdrafts cash cow system. Did they really help me to stay in Business? They collected more than $30,000.00 that could have paid what we own to Quick Collect?
By the way we started this business in 1996 and we are still running and fighting. I love this business just don't like to be rip-off...
