Ack in 2005 i had great credit. I bought my first car without help and was on my way to graduating college. However, just like many young people i found out how much credit cards can help especially when your paying for school my yourself. With no grants or help from others i started with an american express card. Limit was originally $5,000 and grew to $15,000. I got another one with a limit of $5,000. Within a year both cards were maxed due to legal and personal obsticles. While my credit cards were charging me almost 30% in interest debtreliefUSA came into my life. I was watching tv and a commercial came on, ME being only 20 and gullible i descided that my problem would be solved with a simple phone call. I received a call from some guy saying he ran the entire business. "NOW" thinking about it, is was kidda fishy cause why would the guy that owns the place be answering the phone!? Well we spoke for a little regarding my problems with interest rates and he said i was the perfect candidate for debt cosolidation. I wasn't sure what i needed to ask him so i just went along with it. The guy told me that in 36months my debt of $20,000 plus would be erased. He sent me some paper work and after a couple of weeks the first payment would begin. The schedule payment was directly withdrawn from my personal account every 31st of the month. Well as time went on i stop receiving phone calls from creditors so i assumed they were doing their job. I recieved a receipt for my first payment from debtrelief but after that all i had to show for was my account -$375 monthy payment we agreed on. With no major problems for more that 2 YEARS... (06/03/09) came!!! I descided to check my account to see if their was anithing strange or abnormal and noticed that debt relief stop taking the $375 out of my account. I noticed the actually stopped the previous month. I was alittle dumbfounded so i contacted debtreliefUSA at the phone number i always used (1-866-461-0752) and to my shock the answering machine message was something like " were sorry for your inconviniece but debtreliefUSA is no longer doing business and we will be sending our customers letters regarding this matter, sorry for your inconviniece and thank you."... WHAT THE HELL!!! I could not believe what i just heard, after more that TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS of my hard earned money i call and i get that!!! I'm suppose to be completed with my payments by the end of this year and nothing!!! ALL I WANNA KNOW IS WERE MY MONEY IS??? I contacted american express and they told me that they have not been receiving a penny from this company. I did my research and discovered that debtreliefUSA has around 127 complaints and are rated an "F" by the the better business bureau (BBB). I am so lost!!! I am 23 and cant go back to school cause of this and now i have all this money missing! Please i beg yall... Can you help me. I need some advise and some hope that this will get solved and i will get my debt paid or my money back.
