Basically, I applied for a 30yr fha fixed home mortgage with majestic home mortgage. The broker here in miami by the name of Jose was not honest at all. Every week that passed, a new fee was added to the closing costs. I finally put him on the spot before giving him a check for the application fee and he swore that there would not be another fee added. I then gave him the check and signed some documents, which i was rushed through.
Two weeks later I received a letter in the mail from majestic with the good faith estimate and truth in lending statement enclosed. They signed me up for one of those fishy variable loans where it starts real cheap and the payments increase every week. This set off a red flag. I then scrutinized all the fees on the good faith estimate and realized that the estimate's monthly payment was off by $700 a month due to the false figures they placed for taxes. They also only listed 2 months of reserves for hazard insurance, but in reality they require 12 months.
I took my findings and I called the owner of the company Mr. Steve Botulinski. He was very arrogant and basically said tough... Theres no refunds.
