The loan officer's verbal closing cost estimate went from $4,000.00 to an estimated good faith estimate of $6,948.75 on the loan package. Then the officer pulled the first package and sent out a second loan package with a good faith estimate of $10,441.25 for the same mortgage. The first estimate has gone up by 261%. What a bait and switch!
