I recently had a problem with American General finance in Jasper Alabama. I have been dealing with them for years and they always call you wanting to loan you money but if there is a problem they don't seem to care. Recently they took more than the agreed amount out of our checking account for insurance on a home loan. This is not the first time they tried this. It was their mistake and I contacted them immediately. The manager assured me she would take care of it and the money would be credited back to our account. This went on for the next three months. They assured us that if we had any problems with our checking account (nsf etc) they would take care of them. Well it eventually happened and guess what... Now they don't remember having told us that. I have already paid off several loans with them and after this I went and paid off the last one except the home loan and I am working on that one.
