Daughter (college student) needs health insurance. She contacted Cinergy by internet. She received a call from a sales person from cinergy. Later, this very caustic, evasive person called me to see how I would pay. When I told him by check, he said "no." Foolishly, I gave him my debit card # but I did not activate the policy and told him to call me the next day by 2:00. He didn't do this but I learned from by Credit Union that he had submitted my card number for payment on the day before he was to have called.

My daughter has cancelled the policy but I have talked to no less than five people attempting to cancel my debit card draft. All of them said that they could not help me, whiuch sounds very fishy to me. The last person advised me to wait to see if payment is made by my Credit Union to them thereby activating a policy before I raise an objection. My daughter, clearly, has cancelled with them before a policy was issued. I'm assuming that the first payment is paid the sales person as a commission.

This company is not what it purports to be in terms of health coverage. I learned from others to not trust this outfit. Now, all I want is to know that this company will not draft my account, especially since my daughter has refused their "policy" before it was activated. Charles, N.C.
