We found our food within the fridge thawed on May 4/09; named an electrician on Apr 6 who informed us the compressor was eliminated; on April 8th before getting the fridge towards the dump named Sears who recommended that just the seal round the the surface of the fridge could be protected under warranty. We discovered the fridge guide to locate our guarantee includes the issue; named Sears and were recommended a Specialist could be in on April 14th. Specialist was in and billed $80.00 to get a support contact; not below 20mins as well as recommended food dropped wouldn't be changed! We dropped 60 kilogram of food totaling $412.00. We were recommended the compressor could be changed at Sears cost and we purchased the freezer May 25; we were recommended the price of the compressor plus work might significantly exceed the price of changing the fridge. The fridge we'd before was 25 years old which one is not 5yrs old; what provides? I've been a Sears client because the 1970's and EVERY equipment, mower, snowblower, Televisionis, VCR's beds, line continues to be bought from Sears. We're searching for payment for food dropped as Sears equipment protected under guarantee is the obligation (not the sum total amt but atleast 50%). I've read issues from additional Sears clients who're probably no further Sears Clients and incredibly upset these were not handled pretty; I truly wish this will not be the situation with this criticism. We-don't bring preservation contracts whilst the annual price might protect atleast two or three new devices when they smashed down!!
