During my search for a company to use to refinance my home, Quicken Loans called me.
After giving them general info, I was told that I was "just the kind of person they were looking for". I should have gotten the message right then.
The representative called me back in about an hour and gave me a rste and ther monthly payment. I told him that didn't match up with other bank offers I had — the Quicken rate quote was lower biut the payment was higher.
I asked him what mortage amount he was using and he being to answer very vaguely. I aske dif he could give me (fax or mail) a good faith estimate of costs and he said thery didn't do that until I had made an application (and likely paid a fee for the application.
At that point I relaized I was talking to a reputable firm (what loan outfit won;t give you costs?) and very, very Quicken-ly (pun intended) got off the phone.
This is not the company to use for a loan!!!
