B of A's new pending overdraft fee is a all time low to it's customers.
Just started noticing on 4/15 that B of A has come up with a new get rich plan called " Pending overdraft fee". This is how it works.
You are on your way to the bank to make a deposit (cash or check) with a car load of kids. They start to scream and want some food. You stop, buy them lunch, which puts you in a negative. You go to the bank, make your deposit, which puts you way into the positive. Ta-da you have just been hit with an "pending overdraft fee".
Pending not as in " they may or may not charge you" but Pending because the day has not ended and all transactions are pending.
So no longer is the availability to end your day with a positive account balance and get a good night sleep. Now you have to worry whether the deposit or withdrawal hits first. And it is worst if you have an automatic withdrawal set up.
Contacted the bank and was given " Our program has been in place for about a year, and we sent out fliers a while back" Un able to locate anything on B of A's web site about this new fee.
Time for a new bank. Customer since 1978. Maybe somebody else will like our four accounts.
