DO NOT PAY ANY UPFRONT MONEY to refinance your loan. The mortgage loan modification fraud and foreclosure rescue scams that threaten to hurt American homeowners and prevent them from getting the help they need during these challenging times is illegal! Any upfront fees charged by a company should be reported to the Federal Trade Commision and the State Banking and Mortgage lending for these activities.
The FTC has a web site where you can file a complaint against individual who seem to want to profit from the people that are trying to apply for the make homes affordable plan. The FTC has a claim form with help in filing a complaint. I should have checked RIPoff first... I have filed a complaint against Quicken Loans and the have agreed to credit back my money to my account within 5-7 days.
