I received a letter indicating that I was "Pre-Approved" for a $10,000 Platinum credit card which required a check of $37.00 for activation

Apparently like thousands before me I received a letter in the mail informing me that I had been "Pre-Approved" for a Platinum Visa or Master Card with a limit of $10,000.00 at 5% APR. Foolishly, I sent in the check before researching the Internet to see if this was a scam. As it turns out my check has been cashed and no credit card arrived. It wasn't that expensive, but for all of us who have been ripped off by this scam we have been violated. These people need to be held accountable in a court of law.
