In 2006 I was desperate for a loan for my small business which is a clothing manufacturing company. I was contacted by a Mr. Matt Jackson of j and j family trust out of N. Carolina. I explained to them what I needed and he said that they were able to deal with people with bad credit. The loan application was faxed over, I had them reviewed and they seemed legit. The fee for the loan was to be $10000 total and I would have the loan within two weeks and all I needed to secure the loan would be purchase orders to secure the loan. I had already had purchase orders because I was already told that by other banks so I quickly filled everything out and faxed everything back over to their office. I had an answer the next day and was overjoyed with the results.
The loan was approved and I wired the funds over the next day and sent the purchase orders and quickly purchased tickets to India which is where the manufacturing was to take place. (first mistake).
Two weeks when I returned still there was no loan applied to my account. I promptly called and got mr. Jackson on the phone and he said there was a little delay and it has been the same answers for the past two years.
I contacted the BBB of N Carolina and there results were that the company is trying to secure the loan. That makes no sense to me as they can see that I was scammed and did nothing about it to help me, they evn got a response from matt jackson saying that they have not funded that loan, and yet and still they still have him listed in good standing (Complaint ID#: 367484). I had dealt with sandra mcglaughlin (smclaughlin@charlotte. BBB.org). What I later found out from the treasury dept. Of N Carolina is that j and j is not even registered with them to deal loans at all.
I had recently contacted the attorney general to file another complaint but it seems as though I am at a loss. I have the IRS that I owe (12000), my manufacturer (15000), credit cards (20000) and various others all because of this.
