Failed to identify their name or company when leaving a message on my phone, made several repeditive demanding phone calls after I requested them to stop calling

I purchased a vehicle through Wells Fargo Auto Finance in February and have been current on all payments until February when my husbands hours we cut back at work and our household income changed to the point that we could not afford the auto loan. I tried to re-finance through wells fargo twice and was denied. I also tried to sell the vehicle but was un successful.

I have been a very good customer to wells fargo since 2003 and have had several accounts and loans that have always been in a good standing.

I called wells fargo in October and requested to turn in the car voluntarilty for them to auction off and apply the balance to my loan. An account representative at advised me that they would not pick up the vehicle unless I defaulted on my loan. I did not want to default on the loan so I tried to keep the car and then we ended up deciding that there was just no way to keep the car because it was taking food off our table.

I defaulted on my loan in February and then called wells fargo to come pick up the car. They agreed over the phone to set the account up for a voluntary repo and I let them know that I would make small payments after the auction.

They failed to pick up the car as agreed and call me repetitivly on a daily basis sometimes more then once a day. Each time I let them know that they agreed to pick up the car and after they auction the car off I will make payments. I did not want to continue paying the car loan before they picked up the car because I did not want wells fargo to think I was attempting to keep the car.

On March 10 around noon I recieved a voice mail on my cell phone from a person who did not identify who they were or were they were calling from. She left the phone number and demanded out loud that it was imperitive that I return her phone call and cooperate. I was so upset that I was the one being accused of non cooperation when they failed to pick up the car as agreed. To this date I have filed two complaints with the FTC with regards to the repetitive harrasing and demanding phone calls.

I urge the public to report this illegal behavior to the FTC in writing or on the web site.

You can write to:

Federal Trade Commission
Consumer Response Center
600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20580

Or complain online at:

I plan to file a complaint with the sheriffs department civil division regarding the violation of the FDCPA when Mrs. Meg Kelly failed to identify herself or company when leaving me a demanding threatening voice mail.

I will appriciate your support if you can take the time to report the illegal behavior by Wells Fargo Auto Finance.
