It began with harrassing phone calls. When I decided to negotiate with them we started $100.00 a month. I tried to contact them to get some kind of pay-off date or maybe an amoritazation and never recieved any correspondence from them. I might add that during the time we payed them we sent them approx. $1200.00 and I thought that we should be close to the pay-off date. I decided to stop paying them and the harrassing phone calls began again. I tried to ignore them in hopes that they might go away, but they did not. Then we started being sent official looking letters that made all kinds of threats.
I then contacted the clerk of the court to see if they had recieved these motions, and she assured me they had. When I still did nothing we recieved the motion for garnishment. So this worried my wife and she went to our daughter to borrow the $2200.00. I also borrowed money from my retirement account to help my daughter off. This all has been quite an ordeal for my wife who is handicaped with a heart condition.
