Mirko has had a registered Italian bank account (Fineco) with Paypal since 2005.
In early January he registered a USA bank account (Wells Fargo).
On January 3 he transferred 5,000 from his Italian banking account (Fineco) to his paypal account.
On January 9 the money was in his Paypal account.
The same day, he made a transfer of 5,001.50 from his Paypal account to his USA account.
However the transfer was canceled, and no explanation was given.
He received a negative credit of 125,03 on his Paypal account and the account was frozen for 7 days, every time he tried to access his account he was repeatedly asked to verify and change his password and security questions. He was also asked to send photographic ID to prove he was the legitimate account holder which he did by uploading his document onto the Paypal site as directed. He has a written email of Paypals receipt of his documents sent on January 10.
After the cancellation of the money transfer, his USA account was deleted as a registered Paypal account.
Mirko has written to Paypal, via email, requesting explanation for
1. The disappearance of his money,
2. The negative credit and
3. The closing of his account.
However the written response from Paypal never directly answered any of his questions.
An email sent from Paypal in January 19 suggest he call Paypal Italy on 00353.14.36.90. 21, where he spoke to two men. Both of whom told him it was impossible to register a USA bank account as he already had an Italian bank account registered, and the system would not allow him to do so. However his US bank account registration was originally accepted, and he knows many people who also have two accounts and have on many occasions transferred money from Italy to USA, yet the response from Paypal was that that is impossible. They did however tell him that his money will be returned into his original Italian account, yet they could not tell him when.
As Mirko had not seen any sign of the moneys return to his Italian account he proceeded to get in contact with Paypal USA who have suggested that the money never reached Paypal yet the transfer and following operations can be seen in the attached statement below.
The below statement has been faxed to Paypal USA however he has had no reply.
So, Paypal Italy said the money will be send back to his Italian Bank account (Fineco), confirming the money transfer did in fact take place, while Paypal USA said the money NEVER reached Paypal!?
