There are three discrepancies with this company. First to start, I purchased furniture two years ago with a co-signer. GE Capital Con CC has my account information incorrect in regards to me as the co-signer rather than the primary account holder.
Second, when attempted to correct many times, the company stated the information will be corrected and reflect on my next bill. I achieved nothing with any correction attempts.
Third, I had moved in May of I put a notice of change of address with my local post office to have all my bill's forwarded to me. When I filled the change of address form on the reverse side of the return payment stub and even checked the box on the front of the payment envelope, all of my bill's had complied to the new address change except the GE Capital Cons CC.
The Post Office continued to forward my bill from GE until July. With every bill forwarded to me, I would mark my change of address with my return payment.
Come to find out, when the post office forwards mail, it is about 2-3 days late. GE's payment would be due the day I would receive it in the mail. I have made many attempts to resolve this issue without success.
The employees are rude, sarcastic, possess no customer service or communication skills. I was put on hold for 20 minutes at one time and ended up being cut off.
Now my bill which is 7 months past due has incurred over $700 in late and financing charges because of this company's neglect to update billing information.
My co-signer, which is still stated as the primary account holder was not corrected, and when requested for her name to be removed from the account or corrected, neither was done. Now, my co-signer has negative marks on her credit as the primary account holder.
This company has outlandishly overcharged this account with fees and charges that the 2 years of paying this account off was for nothing. The charges this company has accrued to my account has increased my payoff balance to my initial purchase balance. This is ridiculous.
At the neglect of this company, the consumers must pay the price. My account needs to be paid in full by the company and erased from my co-signer and my credit report, then be put out of business by the Better Business Bureau.
