Have continued to stall in the process of refunding monies from an extended vehicle maintenance contract that was cancelled in January. Each time they have been contaced I am told "the check will be sent to you within a week". That was over a month ago. The Administrator for the VMC forawarded their portion to the dealership on May 9th. I called Popular agin on July 22 after speaking with Premier Dealer Services and John statted that the check was sent out 20 days ago, you didn't get it"? Now if I had received any form of check, why would I be calling? Now they are going to do a trace, and will get back to me in 24 hours. A likely story. Another stalling tactic. We have here $3500 which I would like to have removed from my payoff balance in order to refinance the car (most assuredly not with Popular) and they are still dragging their feet in taking care of the matter. The last time I was there which was in May, they indicated that they would contact me when the check was ready for pick up (a third party check that I was supposed to sign and forward to the lienholder per their instructions), so why would you have mailed the check and not contact me when it was available. My phone number is in the files, they have contaced me before for car trade in and maintenance. I think that it is time that someone look into their practices. On the day that I went to see about this in May there was a gentleman there complaining to on of the managers about the same issue. I wonder if he took as long as I did to send a complaint.
