I had 2 accounts with Capital One Credit, which I decided to cancel due to all the unordered hidden fees and insurance charges which I did not order. I paid what I had charged.
Capital One then billed and wrote off the cards with numerous "Credit Initiation Fees & other "Hidden" fees" for credit I did not use. I have written them on the cards several times via certified mail and asked them to produce a copy of the "alleged" contract from 2002 on the 2 accounts. They send me a 2005 credit caption contract which does not apply to me since my "alleged" contract was established in 2002.
The two accounts in question are:
High balance as a result of all hidden fees $ 973 - recent balance (incrementing interest on charged off account I requested canceller — $ 2079.00)
High balance result of all the "hidden fees" $ 673- recent balance (incrementing interest on charged off account I requested canceller — $ 1468.00)
This is negatively affecting my credit score and credit worthiness. The continuously verify the debt with Experian and Transunion, though I have sent the 2 CRAs old reports that show errors by Capital One. They are violating my rights under FCRA and FACTA.
Not only with the 2 credit cards, but they are billing me late charges almost every month on my car loan which is in its last year.
I have filed numerous complaints with the FTC, State of Florida Attorney General, and the Virginia Better Business Bureau.
Capital One continuo is raising the "Recent Balanced' on 2003 debt that is negatively affecting my credit score. I am trying to purchase a home and this company is severely hindering my ability to do so.
This company misleads the consumer into the false belief that they help repair credit, when they damage it by the way they report the high balance on the account upon the inception of credit.
I wish to have these items removed from my credit report since they are reporting inaccurate and false information.
