Have a BofA Visa that I had not used for about 1yr. Never missed payment, never even late!
Recently tried using it at 2 different stores, and for the 1st time in 20yrs, my purchase was denied due to non-authorization!!! Turns out, they never told me, never sent any letter, nada — just simply closed it behind my back and let me find out the hard way.
Well, guess what... I have a memory like an elephant and when financial times get better, I will never ever use BofA for anything (savings, home-loans, kids college-loans, etc.) again!!
