Credit At Sold my cell phone number to debit collectors after I canceled service

I started on one and after reviewing complaint seeing bad reviews. I canceled on the next day. On the very next day I started receiving calls from debt collectors on my cell phone. I gave them my cell phone # so that I may be contacted by them to keep up with my case. I feel that when I canceled service my information was sold.
