Wells Fargo
Stealing from customers with over draft fees

My boyfriend and I are seriously struggling. He lost his job a few months ago and we live pay check to paycheck. We have no extra money and can barely pay our bills.in the last year Wells Fargo has charged us overdraft fees that have amounted to thousands of dollars. They are very sneaky and dishonest. First of all if you write a check (or make a debit) and deposit money to cover it in the same day they purposly put the check through first and charge you for being over drawn even though the deposit goes through the same day. If you make a deposit they will hold it and clear it at midnight that day. If you write a check they clear that first. They will clear the largest check first. So if say you had 5 transactions and one of them was for $500, and the others were for $10, $3, $1, $5 and you are over drawn they will put through the largest first so that they can charge you an overdraft for all 5 transactions. So on a $1 charge you get a $35 overdraft. Even when we have checked our balance to make sure we have funds before making a transaction they will show a transaction, so we check it off, then within the same day it disappears and then reappears the next day. They even admited sometimes transactions "drop off" for a day. Then they let us make a transaction based on the balance with out the pending "missing" debit and charge an over draft fee. Even though it is so unfair they will not credit back any money. Just yester day I had $497 in my account. I wrote a check for $500 and made a debit for $4. Then I had a direct deposit go through. They put the $500 check through first charged an overdraft fee for that and then also charged for the $4 ($35 for each) and then put through the direct deposit minus $70 for overdrafts.
