Like a good, educated consumer I filed a request for a credit report. Unfortunately it was with CIC Monitoring Service, who never provided me with any information after I dutifuly gave them my credit information so they could "access my credit history."

When I couldn't access my report I tried to cancel my free trial. I was told that I needed information that was in a letter they mailed to me. I never received the letter and promptly forgot about the situation.

I was charged 79.95 for their phantom service and chalked it up to a learning experience never to provide my information to an unresearched company. Now, a year later, they've charged me again. I am unaware of a company that renews membership without providing services or notification of renewal, and refuse to be fleeced by this fraud. I have emailed the company and am asking my bank to reverse the charges.
