My mother was responding to a credit denial and trying to obtain her "free" credit report. The "free" report link wouldn't work so we opted for the "free" trial. The PIN number needed to access the report never came in the mail like it was suppose to.
The trial period ended and our account was charged $9.95 twice (once for CIC Credit Manager and the other for CIC Credit Monitoring). She called and cancelled. They refused to refund the charges despite the fact that she was never able to use the free trial service.
Now, one month later our account was charged AGAIN. This time only one $9.95 charge for CIC Credit Monitoring. Again, I called. They gave me the number of another company to call (which I did). They knew nothing that could help me and said they were NOT CIC Credit. We are still trying to get to the bottom of it and with no success.
