I applied in November for a business loan with American General. Now I was told that I could apply based upon my business credit and not personal. I explain to AG that I was a newly formed Corporation and that there was not much credit built yet, but what credit that had been established was in great standing. They said no problem. Well, there was a problem. I was denied a $5000 loan due to past due accounts (which there are none) number of inquires (which there only have been three, including AG) and percent of revolving credit in use (which there is none). They said this was based upon Equfaz reporting. When I contacted Equifax they clearly stated that AG never has recieved any information from them about my company. Futhermore, Equifax also stated that there was no reasons on the credit as AG stated. Confusing! Now when I contacted AG again in regards to this I spoke to a man named David, who was very rude. So I simply stated my case to him and clearly pointed out how AG is a subsidary of AIG and that I was a tax payer who's money had went to bail out the company he works for. Futhermore, I told him I was simply asking for a loan from the tax payers money that they recieved and assured him that I was not going to take out the corporate officers to a expensive weekend at a resort and spa!
Now, I know what I said was rude but ya know he never had to get rude with me first and his fellow workers never should of lied to me about it being no problem to obtain a loan or that they even ran a credit check. Makes me wonder how many others this has happened to.
