If anyone has an account with American General Financial Services (home loans, equity lines of credit, car loan ect) BEWARE! If you decide to pay-off or transfer your account to another financial institution, this company will charge you a $30.00 upfront fee in order to release the pay-off information. This is so outrageous and this is the first time we heard about company charging a fee to release the pay-off information.
If you have been victimized by this company You can file a formal complaint with the office of the Department of Corporation, Consumer Affairs Dept.
