My wife & I signed on with ADC to help with addressing credit issues, after 12 months of allowing automatic withdrawls from our bank savings to build an escrow account iwth ADC to approach our creditors with settlement offers, today recieved notice of being sued by one of the creditors listed for ADC to reach settlement with. Our calculations show nearly 3500 paid to the so called escrow account and when we contact our liason with ADC Jamie Dixon, she stated that no creditor had been contacted to date by her or any ADC member on our behalf, meanwhile she told us we only had a balance of 105 in our account and that the remainder of the monies were used to cover her fees. She then stated we should contact the lawyer and try to arrange a settlement on our own due to that once a suit is filed they can not be of help!
WHAT? So at this point we closed the special savings account at our bank to stop them from collecting any further fee's. I am also going to contact the Iowa & Texas consumer protection agencies and if nothing more than a complaint can be filed that is what we will do. TO ALL OF YOU READING THIS BEWARE, THE OLD ANTAGE, IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE THEN IT PROBRABLY IS APPLIES WHEN YOUR SEEKING CREDIT HELP, Our best advice is talk to an officer of the bank you do business with and they can usually send on the right path and many times are willing to help & advise you.
