I am so glad I found this website. I have read EVERY report on Fairbanks Capital and I can only think of the thousands of other Fairbanks victims out there that have not found this site.
I am also a victim of Fairbanks, We are facing foreclosure even though we have made every single payment to date!!! Fairbanks had added lender placed insurance on our home, even though I had provided proof of insurance on 11 seperate occations!!!
I even have a letter FROM FAIRBANKS stating that they had recieved my proof of insurance and that they cancelled the force placed insurance (letter dated 9/03/02). But they took my November and December payments and put them in some kind of slush fund and called them "partial payments". Being that these payments where not applied towards my loan I am now facing forclosure. I later learned that my December payment went to legal fees, "drive-by appraisals", and letters, yes letters, they charged me for the letters that they had sent me.
I kept thinking that this will eventually work out being that I had proof of insurance and had made all of my payments, eventually I would talk with someone at Fairbanks that was competant enough to fix their mistake. Then I found this site. I now realize that there is no such thing as a competant person at Fairbanks, and I realize that I am in real trouble.
This website is great and had opened our eyes and let us know that we are NOT ALONE. BUT we need to do more, the idea of ALL OF US WRITING TO 20/20 AND DATELINE ON THE SAME DAY IS PERFECT!
I want to execute that idea and set a date for all of us to do so. Next Sunday, on FEBRUARY 9th we NEED to write to DATELINE and 20/20. The impact of dozens (hopefully hundreds) of emails on the same day should get someones attention. I also recommend that we use the same "subject" in our emails, simply

ALSO... Very important... FILE A REPORT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION!!! I filed my complaint over the phone 4 days ago, it took 20 minutes... DO IT NOW!!! 1-877-382-4357 this is very very important!!! The FCC WILL take action if they have enough complaints!!!
Also, call your Attorney Generals Office!!! Today!!!
I am currently building my case and have spoken with several law firms that would consider class action suit... Again I (WE) NEED YOU!!! If you live in Florida or even the Southeast... And you have PROOF that FAIRBANKS CAPITAL has ripped you off or has acted unlawfully towards you. I will not go without a fight, fairbanks capital will be stopped!
don't forget email dateline and 20/20 next sunday feb. 9th let everyone else know that has had problems with FAIRBANKS, if they don't have the time to write the email then you do it for them!!!
