DRS don't provide information to clear situation but continue to put marks on my credit report

On May 5, by viewing my credit report, I inadvertently found out that Debt Recovery Solutions was twice trying to collect on two separate amounts of money for two year old Verizon accounts I had no knowlege of. They made a report to Transunion, which subsquently lowered my credit score. I knew I was a victim of ID theft.in good faith I called DRS and spoke to Mr Bergen.

He told me that I would have to wait 8 to 10 weeks to get a copy of the Verizon bill and that I should take that copy of the bill to my local police department and file a report for identity theft. So I waited and waited... And waited.

In the meantime, I sent letters to all three major credit reporting companies, Experian, Equifax and Transunion, updating all my personal information, "just in case." Some weeks later Transunion sent me a letter stating they had deleted DRS' claim. GREAT! Not so fast.

Yesterday, October 13, I reviewed my credit report again. This time DRS' had put a statement in my Experian report for the same dates and amounts. I called them again. Spoke to Mr. Bergen, again. He said "I told you back then that you would have to wait 8 to 10 weeks." I informed, the not too wise Bergen, that it was already 5 months and three days since that initial conversation and I hadn't received anything to help correct the situation. Furthermore, now Experian was reporting what was removed from Transunion. Mr. Bergen then lost it! In sum and substance he stated: "I am not the one who stuffs the envelope and you are just going to have to wait, until then, there is nothing more to do. You obviously didn't understand the first time so let me explain it to you again. You have to wait 8 to 10 weeks. So in the meantime, (this is the best part) enjoy your credit report!" and he hung up.

Well, furious and wanting to speak to a supervisor, I called back. This time a Mr. Lopez picks up the phone. I ask to speak to a supervisor. He wanted to know my information so "he can help me." Okay, I still want to speak to a supervisor. Mr. Lopez proceeds to tell me why they have an account in my name blah, blah, blah. "Yes, I am well aware of all this, please let me speak to a supervisor. I didn't appreciate how I was spoken to by Mr. Bergen and to add insult to injury he hung up on me." "Well, did you curse him out?" questions Mr. Lopez. "No!" I said, "supervisor, please!"

Finally, I was put on hold and Ms. Scurry gets on the line. She also attempts to recite why they have an account in my name. I try to tell her that her employee, Mr. Bergen, was rude and condescending. "Oh, so you wanted to talk to me because you are not happy with his response?" she says sarcastically. I say yes and the fact that I still have an ongoing issue, because obvious I haven't received anything from DRS that, supposedly, I was supposed to get, like a copy of this Verizon bill, so I can make a police report. Then she lost it. "That is not our protocol! We don't send out copies of anything! Do you live at such and such address?" "Yes" I tell her. "Well, I will send you verification and then you have to call us back to go onto the next step." "What is the next step?" I inquire. "Don't worry about it.in the meantime, it will take 8 to ten weeks." She added.

This company is an obvious SCAM! They have put marks on my credit reports carelessly and without regard to any verification whatsoever.

Well, they have messed with the wrong person! I am so happy that I came upon this site. I am going to go after these perps with everything I have. I will keep you posted! Thank you.
