We refinanced our home with Chase Mortgage Credit Group because the owner, Areyo Dadar called and promised he could beat our current rate of 5.5% fixed for 30 years. He told us he could offer a 4.75% fixed for 30 years, no points, no pre-payment, and a no cost loan.
He sent his associate Paul Bakhtiar (he said his name was Paul Baxter) to explain all the details. Everything sounded good at that point so we signed the documents a few weeks later.
Paul Bakhtiar came late with Pooyan Bakhtiar (the notary) in the same car with the final documents. We finally signed everything then asked for our copies. They told us their copy machine wasn't working so they would send it to us right away. We called all of them numerous times to request copies of the signed documents yet all we received were empty promises. Upon receiving our first statement a couple of months later, we realized the loan was changed to a 7.75% adjustable, pick-a-pay. $20,000 was also added without our knowledge.
We notified Areyo Dadar and Paul Bakhtiar many times about this matter and they said it would be corrected right away. After 3 months of empty promises we reported them to all the various agencies that deal with matters such as these. We have learned that they had many cases similiar to ours and even found a federal case against them online.
Their numbers have changed over 4 times in the past few months and now work out of San Diego not Encino. Please beware of frauds like this out there! They will lead you on and promise everything will be fixed but they won't... in fact, they might even try to put you into another loan so they can rip you off even more!
