May 1 Jerry Hastings from MCM called left a message that they would accept 10% of the debt and it would be settled. I had made this offer a few days prior. May 2 I called in talked with Mr. Hastings and gave him my checking account information. I had tried to pay with Discover May 1st, they do not accept Discover. He assured me many times that I would never hear from them again. I paid $796.49.
In August they started calling me again. Now they want 6 monthly payments of $568.00. Ive told them over and over again this is settled and to listen to the recording of the conversation I had that day. They no longer have that recording.
Im not sure what to do at this point. Any advice?
