An update on my issues with FCC...
Called their Consumer Affairs Division 904-722-7691. A Daphne Amerson answered the phone. I explained I worked for the mortgage company where I did my loan, and that there was no prepay on my loan. I gave her my loan number, and LO AND BEHOLD, she said she was looking at a prepay rider I supposedly signed! I said, no you aren't. She said, I have it IN MY HANDS.
Okay, get real. Of all the thousands of files, she happened to have MINE sitting right there under her desk?! Come on! I told her I wrote my own loan, through my employee loan department. FAX ME THE RIDER.
Asked about the $110 `Broker Opinion Fee' on the demand sent to me. Was told my house had been inspected. I asked by whom. Couldn't say. When? Didn't know.informed her DRE doesn't allow bogus fees. She got off the phone!
Have not heard from them since. I get voice mail, and no return call.
