This company called this morning and talked with my husband. He suffers from PTSD and didn't get or couldn't remember the name of the company. He said they threatened to take us to court and garnish our wages and we would have to pay court costs. Because he couldn't remember the name of the company I had to call the number caller ID recorded and the lady wanted to get smart with me and lied and said she hadn't called.
They highly inflated the debt of the company they were trying to collect for which hasn't been paid on since 1999 because we couldn't pay anybody anything we were in such dire straights. They told my husband the account had been paid on in 2003 I would like to see them prove that. What would they have to prove that I had paid?
I intend to file a complaint with the Attorney General they take a dim view of someone threatening people with taking your house or garnish wages when they don't have the right to do that.
