On Saturday, January 12th The Loan Shop Westbury Ventures debited $260.00 from my account. I have NEVER done any business with this company before EVER!!! When I googled the company's name to find out more information there were articles & reports (including this website) that really gave The Loan Shop a bad name. Apparently Westbury-the loan shop is a payday loan company on the internet. When I called the phone number that appeared on my bank statement it just continues to ring and no one answers. I have since filed an unauthorized debit claim with my bank and submitted reports from this website to my bank as well. I also contacted the authorities to file an identity theft claim. The bad part about this situation is that I have been without ANY money for the last two weeks and my bank refuses to reimburse anything until the loan shop responds and advises that they were wrong.
