I had sent a payment out 10 days before it was due. I live in NY the payment was one day late and they charged my 39 dollar late fee. I called and spoke to a customer service representative and she pretty much told my tough, you have to pay the fee. I told her that this was highway robbery and that there buisness practices were very deceptive. I payed the bill online and when I entered my account number I missed a zero in the number. I sent it from work and didnt have my checkbook in front of me. I was charged 50 late fee and a 30 return check fee. Dont know how I had a returned check fee if the account number was wrong?
I again called and spoke to a rep who told me its not there responsibility to notify me that my account number was missing a zero instead they said payment was late and that I had to pay 131 dollars. I asked to speak to a Supervisor, she stated one was not avaliable and I would receive a call back in 3 days. Tha rep was very rude to me and she pretty much told tough we will call you when its convienent for us not you. I went to use the card and was told the account was closed.
I called and spoke to a rep who stated that I closed the account on June 23 which i never did. They told me there was nothing they could do and that I would have to reapply. They cant open a closed account. No help what so ever. I think I will be making a complaint with the Attorney General's Office. Anyone who had bad dealings with this company I would be very interested to hear what happened to you. Thanks
