On the needs of needing a car I went to a dealership and they got me financed through UAC. Sweet I say I am getting a new car some wheels to get me to work and get around on. How unsweet it has been.
Before the first payment was even due I got a call from Jeff explaining that there is a zero grace period and that the payment had to be there the day it was due. I was greatful that I was able to get a loan so fast so I played along, now where to send the payment? I never even recieved my cupons untill a week before my payment when I called them asking about them.
I made my car payments faithfully 6 months after I got this car it needed a new clutch. I called and explained this was going to put me back. Pam procceeded to lecture me and actually yell that she doesnt care and that I had to make my payment. It wasnt their fault that the car is broken, I agree but as I told her ok well I can pay you or fix YOUR car. Come and get it and see how far you will get. They didnt come and get it, whatever it was over car fixed they had their money all fixed up on both ends.
A year passes and finally my life is on track, great job good money and bam I get diagnosed with cancer and started going through chemotherapy. Do they care or understand? Nope we want our money, my response you will get your money when I have it.
Now I am recoving back to work starting to scrape things back up ini my life again. I tell them I will make 2 payments a month to catch up, they wanted it all. I cant do it all in one shot. They tell me the car or money and hang up.
Today I get an angry phone call from my only living relative and told me that there is a "detective" at her house looking for me. What the hell never been in trouble in my life. I get off the phone with her and my cell rings and it is this "detective". I ask him from what agency he said from CNC hmmmm UI have alot of cop buddies in this small town and never heard of that agency. It is a recovery agent. GREAT COME AND GET THE DAMN CAR.
This is a very condensed story of what has happened with this company. I defaulted once and they send the repo man. Seriously!? After I tell them they willl get there money they call me 5 times a day, call my boss and even tell her I am driving a stolen car now. Again SERIOUSLY? They have talked to me several times and I have told them time after time they will get their money when I have it. I proved my trust with them, every time I said they will get moiney they got it. Now they take my car?
2 payments behind and I have no car, F YOU United Auto Credit, thanks for having a heart. I call 2 credit unions today and I get approved for a car loan through them both. I decided on one of them went in and did the paper work, I am going car shopping tonight and tomorrow. I asked the cu about them, he told me that I am not the first and far from the last to h ave issues with them and a regular bank does not make threats and always likes to work with their clients. This prompted me to talk to my lawer, he just called and said there is a for sure case against them. (again I didnt have the time to type everything I have expierienced or learned about UAC.)
If you are in the need of a vehicle I strongly suggest you get a "beater" to get you buy or find a co signer to help you get a loan through a credible bank. Dont use united auto credit
