Received letter on around 5/23/08, stating that I had won 150,000.00 from the national lotto co-operation sweepstakes lottery. I was declared a winner of $1.5 mil among ten others. A check in the amount of $4995.98 was enclosed. I was instructed to cash the check and call freed Jackson at 1-416-827-7223 and to send in the amount $2995.00 for taxes by western union or money gram. I read Report: #338802 by Dennis (Tempe AZ). What resulted? My bank almost cashed it, but I suggested that they first look more into this since I suspected fraud. They never even tried after that. How can they rip someone off if they don't receive cash back and their check clears? Has any one received this?
