We received a letter a few months ago from the bank's lawyers, MOSS, CODILIS STAWIARSKI ET AL, saying that I hadn't made my house payment. We send our payments to a P.O. Box in Los Angeles. They did received the payment and put it through the following month - then we received another letter saying that we had until the following month to make up the default - there was never a default. However, they did charge me a late fee.
Recently, we received another letter from their attorneys saying that we owed $6,572.74 by January 6 - no reason stated. They also stated that I didn't have house insurance - I have mailed a copy of my insurance policy SEVEN times - they recently put a policy on my loan for $2,600. Yesterday, I sent copies of the policy to both the law firm and the bank UPS overnight mail - I did track it and they have received it. I also included my business card and asked them to please give me a call - they have not called.
WE are not behind in our payments - have never been behind. It is effecting our credit report and is very serious. Please advise.
