Class action suit? Bring it on! I had a $3 finance charge morph to $283 unbeknownst to me because by Capital One's own admission they didn't send out bills for at least 3 months. They claimed they would refund the fees... But instead are now reporting my account as a charge-off. My appeals to them to set the record straight - including copies of the letter they sent to me explaining the error and promising a crediting of the fees - seems to be falling on deaf ears. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act they're required to send bills or can't report negative information. So if anyone's up for the class action challenge, please feel free to contact me. I have plenty of documentation to back up my claim.
