The words, Capital One make a prolific appearance at usacomplaints.com and it's with good reason. Not only does Capital One not abide by the FCBA, (Fair Credit Billing Act) they absolutely do not I repeat DO NOT care about their customers.
The situation - I used my credit card to pre-pay for some services. The services were never received. I sent in proof to Capital One showing where the services were never rendered (as outlined under the FCBA). Capital One refuses to resolve the situation. They instead send me a letter saying they cant assist me when there is no documentation from a third party. This letter was dated more than 60 days from the date I opened the dispute and the letter stated they could not assist me and considered the dispute closed becasue I never sent them any documentation from a third party.
The problem with this is (and I do have this on recording Capital One, Texas is a one party consent state so as long as one party on the call consents to the call being recorded I can record it) the problem with this is they never even requested this information and that fact was also confirmed by a representative at Capital One.
Despite my repeated efforts to achieve an amicable resolution to this dispute it seems as though my calls and letters have fallen upon deaf ears and blind eyes. My suggestion would be - Look at other reports about Capital One and heed the facts. What other reason would Capital One be on a website such as usacomplaints.com
