I purchased furniture from wickes. It was a package deal no interest until january. Reclining sofa, love seat, 2 reclining chairs, coffee table, 2 end tables, sofa table. Purchased 3 year warranties on all. On delivery i refused to accept the tables, badly scratched and dented. Delivery men came with a touch up stain prepared to go to work making repairs.
Wickes salesman assured me he would reorder all the tables and i would have new ones within a week. This is october.in november i was told the tables were on backorder. This continuned until the b.K. Was announced in february.By november the sofas, chairs had also broken. A repairman was sent to my home. Said he would order parts and hve them shipped to me and would return when i had recived the parts to make the repairs. Have never heard from him again or seen the parts. Citifinancial has ask me to give them my orginal receipts and and estimate for repairs. I have done so and also have a claim filed in wickes b.B... Citifinancial led me to believe they would make adjustments to my account. Now that citifincial has the imformation they wanted, they dont seem to want to work with me on this matter. And said citifincial would rais the interst to 29%.
I do not feel i should i have to pay for items i did not recieve or the repairs that should and could have been taken care of before wickes filed the b.K. My losses are quite high and some cooperation from citifincial would be the best thing that could happen here.
At this time i owe $3067.25 my loses are $2681.13. Osses as follows — groupe tables $831.65. Warranties and protection plans $949.48.. Repairs to sofas and chairs $900.00.. Deducting my loses my, is the only and right thing to do and this would leave an honest balance of only be $386.12. I would like to settle this matter out of court if possible.
