It seems to me that there is a pattern with Wickes way of handling complaints / problems after each transaction. YOU PAID, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!
Back in December, I bought a living room set. Sales person was very very nice. Two days later, the goods were delivered. They set the sofa set down and the dining table, but the end and center tables, we had to assemble ourselves. I wasn't around when they delivered, who has the time to wait around when their delivery time is between 9-5? According to my mother, they delivered at around 5PM and left in a hurry, Rude too, according to her.
When we checked the boxes of tables, the two end tables were the wrong tables. I called the sales person right away, I was told nicely to call the customer service because CS would be able to help me. Since it was late already, called the customer service the following morning.
Long story short, the solution is they will have the wrong items picked up and deliver the correct ones. Good remedy, except she could not have anything scheduled until 3 weeks later. UNACCEPTABLE, so I asked why my other option is, I needed them sooner. OK, in 10 days, I can go pick them up from the store where I purchase it from.
Mind you, the store is 5 minutes away from my home and the store where they originally pick up my original orders from Rancho Cucamonga, which is around 45 minutes drive. I was also given the option of picking the correct tables from Rancho anytime.
They made the mistake, and too bad for me that I have to wait 3 weeks for them to correct it when it only took them 2 days to deliver the goods?
I settled with the 10 days of picking them up from the closer store. Picking them up took good 1 hour too because none of the employees in the store knew what was going on. Someone from that store called me in the morning to let me know they have arrived and ready for pick up.
When I came in late in the afternoon, the ladies helping me were annoyed that they did not know what was going on and wondered why the lady called me in the morning to say they were there when the two of them (one of them busy too annoyed that she was bothered with her personal call) could not find where they are. They finally had the common sense to call the lady who called me at home and finally figured out where they are!
I will never again set foot in that store... Ever!
