Citifinancial - Wickes Furniture Ripoff needs to be stopped!

I have been fighting with Citifinancial for several months now! I am so completely frustrated with them! Help! I purchased a night stand from Wickes in 2005. I got the no payments/no interest til Jan. Of 2006. Later in I went back to Wickes to purchase an amoire. This was on a no payments/no interest til Jan. Of 2007. I had purchased my other bedroom from Wickes prior and had no probles, BUT they were not using Citibank at that time. It was Household Financial.

When Jan. Of 2006 came along, I called in and verified that my payment would soon be due, and was told to mail in my payment for the expiring promo. I mailed in the full amount and everything was fine. Until jan. Of 2007 came rolling along. I had received no information from Wickes what so ever, but knew my payment was due. I tried calling the service number on the back of my Wickes card, out of service. I even went into Wickes trying to make my payment. They refused and gave me another number to try. I was transered and passed along from one 800 # to the next. Finally, when I got frustrated enough, I was informed why no one was able to help me. Citifinancial had sent my account to collections.

When I had made my Jan. 2006 payment, they applied to the wrong promo, even after speaking with "their people" over the phone. This, therefore, voided out the Jan. 2007 promo and I was apparently accuring late chareges, interest charges, who knows what else they got me for. Not to mention my credit was shot. I NEVER received any notice.

I have written letters, faxed letters, called every number given to me many, many times. I have collection agencies calling. And the ironic thing is, I received a letter from Citifinancial stating they were crediting the account and would remove the charges from the credit reporting agencies. And yet I am still getting harrased from collection agencies, stating that although Citifinancial is telling me one thing, they are telling the collections agencies to close out these accounts for good. My credit is shot due to them.

Not only did they send me to collections once, but because they applied my payment to the wrong account, they sent me to collections TWICE for the second promo. And this was all THEIR fault. I made my payments on time and am now so insanely irritated and would just like some help with this situation. I want this off my credit and my score to be back where it was before Citifinancial ever came along!

One more bit of irony, on the way home from work yesterday, I get another call from the collection agency a different woman this time. I try and explain the situation, but am just irritated to no end. I tell her I will fax over all the info to her in the morning. (And I did). Well, I checked the mail when I got home and there was a statement/bill from Citifinancial showing a $0 balance on my account. This company is INSANE!

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! I'll appreciate it greatly!
