Cross Country Bank charged late fees, overlimit fees, but left my minimum payment under what it took to bring account current.
My credit limit is $1500.00 but they kept charging my account overlimit and late fees to the amount of $2700. This was after I had closed out the card.
I then received a call from CCB about my account where they would agree to have me pay $1860. And my account would be cleared. I then paid them by phone in the amount of $300. I said I would need a week or so to arrange for the rest of the money. This call was the day before Thanksgiving.
When I arranged for the money (Dec. 2) I called the number they gave me and was then (by automated voice) told to call a non 1-800 number. After 10 minutes of automated voices, I received a real person who then told me that the offer I was given was only good until Nov. 30th. And that I would now have to pay $2400 more because they had reactivated my account without my authority.
