You have to be extremely careful of overlimit fees. Unlike other credit card companies who bill overlimit fees at the statement close, Household bills them at the time the account goes overlimit. You then have until the closing date of the statement to bring the account below the limit, if not then it will bill on the first day of the new statement. When you get your statement, the additional overlimit fee won't appear due to it doesn't bill until the first day of the new statement.
When you get your bill it shows only the overlimit amount added with the minimum payment which if sent in by the due date, keeps the account overlimit. It will continue each month unless you add $29 to the current payment due reflecting on the statement. This specific information is not in the disclosure and in the disclosure it states that you agree to pay an overlimit fee if exceeding the credit limit and only one overlimit fee will bill per billing statement. Just be carefull, hopefully this note will help all of you avoid many unwanted fees.
