Paid off account and later sued for nonpayment of debt Huntsville, Alabama

I paid the account off in 2005.

In 2007 I was sued for nonpayment, appeared in court and they admitted that the receipt for payment had not been posted to my account, but my attorney advised me to take the offer to repay a large portion of the account with deleted interest and late fees. I got "taken" by two parties!!!
