For whatever reason when I paid my bills in Dec. I missed paying my Tribute card bill.in the rush and bustle of the holiday season - I just missed it! Within 10 days I realized what I had done and immediately went online and paid my bill as I had every month for over a year.
I once again paid more than the minimum amount due - and thought to myself that I would make sure that never happened again. I got home from work today and had a card from Tribute telling me that my account was closed for nonpayment!
Of course I am livid and have emailed the company, and plan to call them Monday - but after reading all of usacomplaints. Coms, I have a feeling I won't be getting far!
I am going to speak to an attorney about filing suit against their tactics. After all, some people who sued the ripoff check cashing stores were able to prevail in court.
I would like to try to find out if there is some kind of class action lawsuit going on. There certainly should be.
As I said, I paid these people more than the amount due every month for over a year, and I was about 10 days late - and boom! They close the account and add on more fees!??!
No way this company should be allowed to continue these practices.
