Due to unforseen circumstances, I found myself in need of fast cash. I had receive received several "approval letters" from fastcash.com, and filled out the online application. It implied that the loan would be due and ach debited to my checking acount in 14 days. I received n o notice that my loan was approved, and was surprised that it was added to my checking account. Well, In 14 days my account was debited $90.00, and since I had no way to know what the plan was, I thought that they must be taking it out in installments.
I didn't want to do that. When I went online to complete the payment so that it would be done, I could not locate fastcash.com site that I had used before.
I checked my bank statement and there was no number listed with the withdrawal. I was not aware that fastcash and payday-yes were the same company. After having 845 dollars debited from my account, I asked my bank to find some contact information so I could stop this. I got the number of their bank, who gave me the phone number for payday yes. The nasty lady on the phone explained that I had been given 3 options, sent after much more nastiness, a "copy" of the loan agreement, which I had never seen, which explained basically that every 2 weeks they were taking $90 service fee 6 times, then taking the service fee plus 50 dollars toward the debt.
Can anything be done? I am not usually this naive and suseptible to ripoffs. Is there any recourse?
