This company is almost entirely computer run. Customer service people are stationed in India (as in the former British colony). They have scripted responses and no access to a creditor's account. This company has lost many billions recently. The best tact to take with CFA is to try to make a deal, then simply do not pay them. Their customer interface is handled by morons. With all the money they save by placing customers on hold and servicing inquiries with dolts, they can afford to absorb your loan balance. Late payment fees should NEVER be paid as they collect interest on unpaid balances. So, if your payment is late, one pays the interest accrued to date of payment AND a late fee. Do not pay late fees. Given the way your tax dollars are being used to bail out financial institutions, you should not even pay your payments.
